As i got in the car to drive the twenty or so kilometers to Flamingo beach Resort yesterday, the heavens opened.
Now, i understand that this was going to make the bride anxious but i had hope.
I had hope that it would pass over us and i would be blessed with my favorite lighting conditions. The road was covered like an ice rink in summer, rivulets of brown mud crossing the road like school children, i was barely on time because of my defensive driving in the teeming rain.
Amanda and Levi were cool like pros. I asked Levi how he was faring. He shrugged his shoulders and answered with a confident smile. I love a groom who has no doubt as to why he is here.
Amanda was on schedule, bouncing around her cavernous hotel room in boxer shorts and a tank top, fussing over her bridesmaids details as if it were their wedding not hers. Only once did i see her peek behind the drawn curtains at theĀ storm laden, gray sky outside. I was inwardly happy. I new we were going to have great light……And sure enough, we did!
